Spring 2001 - A Musical Celebration
Eduardo Mendelievich, Director
The tone of our spring concert is one of celebration. It features a rare performance of Zoltan Kodaly's "Missa Brevis" for choir, soloists and organ with guest organist Jerome Lenk, and odes to the summer season such as Thomas Morley's "About the Maypole". Twelfth Madrigal from "The Unicorn, the Gorgon and the Manticore" by Giancarlo Menotti. Pieces by Brahms, Ravel and Britten, will also be featured, and additional pieces by Astor Piazzolla will close the program with a distinct Argentine flavor.
