Fall 1999 - SONGS OF THE SPIRIT

A celebration of music dedicated to the joy of singing.

Sacred and Profane Chamber Chorus, together with San Francisco State University Chamber Singers, directed by Joshua Habermann, begins its 22nd season with three concerts featuring five centuries of sacred music for double and single choir. Included in the concert will be In Manus Tuas by J. Sheppard; Bach's double-choir motet Der Geist Hilft unser Schwachheit auf; a double-choir setting of Psalm 100 by Schutz; Jesus and the Traders by Z. Kodaly, and Os Justi meditabitur sapientiam by A. Bruckner.
